PDF Page Numbers

I'm looking for a way to apply page numbers to a PDF file but I need to be
able to select the starting page number and the format. For example page 2-3
would be page "i thru ii" and page 4 would be "1". Any help is appreciated.

What program are you using to print the PDF? Seems to me this would determine
the page numbering.
Ask this in a Word group or maybe an Adobe group.
