how can I open *.mix files without Picture It?

I saved some files and collages using Microsoft Picture It. When I updated
my computer I discarded my old Picture It CD believing it was no longer
needed. Now I want to open picture files adn collaged. I found a shareware,
Polyview that will open some photos, but not those in collages.

The only software that PIcture It! .mix files
are fully compatible with are all versions of
MS Picture It! and MS Digital Image.

The MS Digital Image software line has been
discontinued but there is still a 60 day trial
version you can download from the following
site.

Microsoft Digital Image
Starter Edition 2006

After opening and editing your .mix files in
MS Digital Image they can be resaved in the
.png-plus format that was adoped by Picture
It! in 2002.

can still find copies at online sites like Amazon
and eBay.

The latest and last version was:
"Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 Anniversary Edition"
(this version runs on XP and VIsta)
