How do I convert clip art to a tiff file? I was able to convert a couple by
opening in pdf then convert to tiff, but this seems to only work on very few.

If the image is a WMF file you need to open in a program that supports that
format such as Serif Drawplus, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw...........then
do Save As or Export then change the file type to TIFF and Save....

If the Image is a GIF or JPG open in an Image Editor such as Irfanview then
do a Save As choose file Type....

You download Irfanview from www.irfanview.com

Paul, I find that most MS WMF files won't convert to any other format. 90% of
my clipart from MS is in WMF format. Neither Word 2007 nor Publisher 2007
will display or print WMF files. Is there a work around?

What happens when you insert a .wmf clip into Publisher? Do you have View,
Pictures, Detailed Display enabled? In Word uncheck picture placeholders in the
Options, View tab. I'm not sure about 2007.

Can you use the Organizer? Are you getting errors?

www.irfanview.com will open .wmf and is able to convert to about any format.

The changes you suggest were already in place, Mary. Clip Organizer shows the
WMF files. They just won't appear other than as a box in Word & Publisher.
I tried severl conversion programs including IrfanView. Many WMF files are
now corrupted, and the conversions were from 0-3KB with no picture, just
blanks. They show up as "errors".

Is there any way to redirect Clip Organizer to another directory?

You can reconstruct the Organizer by creating a new Mstore10.mgc file.

The file is in a folder similar to this: (Hidden)
Vista
C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Clip Organizer
XP
C:\Documents and Settings\<<user name>>\Application Data\Microsoft\Clip
Organizer

Rename the Mstore10.mgc file to Mstore10.old. The file will be reconstructed the
next time you open the Organizer.

Have you scanned your system for a virus?
