clip art will not copy and paste into word doc.

I am trying to copy and paste clip art into a word doc. I have dowloaded the
clip art and can copy it into a power point slide; however, all I get in my
word doc. is a frame with no picture. Please help!

What version Word?
In 2003 and earlier, Tools, Options, View tab, uncheck Picture Placeholders.
In 2007, Office button, Word Options, Advanced, Show document content, uncheck
*Show Picture Placeholders, check Show drawings and text boxes on screen.
