Clip Art for book

I am putting together a book for publication and I would like to use a
Mirosoft Word 2003 clip art picture I have found in the background of my
cover. Am I allowed to do this? Should I and can I purchase the clip art?

If you look on the left of the Clipart web site there is a list of providers.
Might look into getting a license for the clip. Usually the price is quite
modest.
