You need image editing software.
Maybe you could use the AirBrush
tool in MS Paint.

Or...if you have MS Picture It! or
MS Digital Image...try using the
Clone Brush or the Blending Brush.

If you would like to send a copy of
the image to me...I'll be happy to
remove the bangs for you.

Send it to:

If the following site is not the one
you're using...it's pretty neat.

Hello John,
I remember you helping me before with something. NOw I have another
question, but please don't laugh!
where is the 'clone' tool in MS Digital Image Standard 2006? I can't seem to
find it....
also I would love to upgrade from this software even though I am using PSE 5
and surprisingly getting used to it. But I still like the above a lot of the
time.
Thank you for helping,
Sabina.

Hi Sabina,

The Standard version may not have the
Clone Brush. Most of the advanced tools
are found in the Digital Image Suite version.

Anyway...you could look for it at...Touchup /
Clone Brush...or open an image and type ...
alt+shift+n

You may not be aware...the MS Picture It!/
MS Digital Image line of software has been
discontinued. The latest and last version was
MS Digital Image Suite 2006 Anniversary
Edition. It includes all the advanced tools,
the Digital Image Library and is optimized
for Vista.

thank you, John. Yes, I was aware that Picture It has been discontinued and I
wonder if it is possible to perhaps download or buy the optimized version
Digital Image Library even though I am using win xp?
Would it be worth an upgrade to Vista?? What do you think? I use MS Word a
lot (trying to write some kind of a book, haha) and really got used to using
the photo editing program with it. I like it. PSE 5 is very demanding and I
have given it my all, but oh it is a continuous process of learning.
Kind regards
Sabina.

You may be able to find a boxed retail copy of
Digital Image Suite 2006 Anniversary Edition
if you check with sites like Amazon and eBay.
It's basically the same program you are running
now but it includes all the advanced tools. And
yes it will run on Windows XP.

As for installing Vista...I'm afraid that's a choice
you'll have to decide for yourself. Personally, I
still prefer Windows XP...mainly because I'm
comfortable with it.

Vista is definitely a new experience and will
require you to learn many new things. And you
may discover that some of your software and
hardware drivers are not compatible with Vista.

There is a wealth of info about Vista on the net
but maybe the following links will give you some

John, I tried your option with clicking shift+alt+n, but it didn't work. But
guess what I found whilst perusing? The old version of MS Digit. Imaging has
an option where you can make your own 'stamps'.....very neat and amazing what
one can create with it, it's almost like cloning.
Anyway, no, there is no such thing as a 'cloning' option. But who knows what
the stamp option can produce. Fun...
