I teach Microsoft Word 2007 classes at a public library. In the class, I
show students how to find clip art from Office Online, by using the Insert
tab. One of my students just installed Word 2007 on his computer at home.
When he chooses a clip art image, it asks him to insert the clip art CD,
rather than just pulling it from online. He says he was searching all
collections. Is there a way to make it stop asking for a CD and default to
get it from online?

Did your student have an earlier version of Office? Office XP came with a media
disk, this is the disk Office is asking about.
Might be if your student renames his Organizer, the problem will be solved.
Change Mstore10.mgc to Mstore10.old. The Organizer with create a new catalog
file the next time it is opened.
The file is in a folder similar to this (hidden)
Vista
C:\Users\<<user name>>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Clip Organizer
XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<<user name>>\Application Data\Microsoft\Clip
Organizer

Thank you for your quick response!
He said he had installed Word 2007, not an older version. Do you think
changing the file name would still help?

It can't hurt. I have no idea why Office is asking for the media disk. I will
look around for an answer.
