In Internet Explorer Tools menu, I do not see Microsoft Office Template and
Media Control in the Manage Add-ons. In the Show box, it is not in the list
of controls Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer. How can I get
this in the add-ons? I can't find a download.

Using IE7, Office 2003 SP3, and Windows XP SP2.

I already read the ActiveX control article you suggested. That's how I knew
to look for Active X in the Manage Add-ons. When I go to "Show" Downloaded
Activew X Controls, the Microsoft Office Template and Media Control is not in
the Downloaded ActiveX Controls. When I try to get to the
http://office.microsoft.com/templates/axinstall.aspx?, I get "Internet
Explorer cannot display the webpage."

Sharon, I don't get the Internet Explorer message you are getting when you go to
the ActiveX URL. What are your security settings? Did you put Office in your
trusted sites as suggested in the ActiveX article?

In Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Security tab, click *Trusted
Sites*, click the button *Sites*, Uncheck *Require server verification (https:)
for all sites in this zone* Type http://office.microsoft.com in the address bar,
click Add.

Check your firewall to be certain you are allowing access to the Office ActiveX.

I persisted and finally got to the URL. I think we were having some problems
with the Internet in the building yesterday. Thanks for your help.

I am still having trouble with clip art in PowerPoint 2003 not responding or
freezing.
Some students have no trouble with clip art; others do. I don't understand
this.

I logged on as administrator of each student's machine and checked to make
sure the Active X control was installed. The Downloaded ActiveX Controls
show 2 Microsoft items: MUWebControl Class muweb.dll and Office Update
Installation opuc.dll. There is none listed specifically as Microsoft Office
Templates and Media Control, but when I went to the URL it says ActiveX
installed successfully.

I have also logged on as an administrator of the local machine and put the
PowerPoint program in the Exceptions and I have put in Internet Options,
Security, Trusted Sites--office.microsoft.com.

I have also had the students delete their temporary Internet files. I've
had them organize clips.

What other suggestions can you give me? Using IE7, Office 2003 SP3, and
Windows XP SP2, and Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition Vers. 8.
