Downloaded clipart from microsoft automatically gets saved as a paintbrush(?)
file. Is there any way to automatically 1) save it as a bmp or jpg and 2)
automatically save it in the EXACT file that I want it, rather than in
"microsoft clipart"?

Empty your Temporary cache, in Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options,
Delete, Delete files.

If you do not want the clipart to go to the Microsoft Clip Organizer, select
copy under the image, right-click your preferred folder, click paste. This will
have to be done for every image, it will never be automatic.
