I recently updated my Outlook from 2003 to 2007, and I have applied both
Office 2007 Suite service packs 1 and 2, however, whenever I am in an email
message now, the option to INSERT clipart, shapes, etc. are GRAYED OUT.
(except for insert picture from file) I am in need of this functionality,
how do I activate this area for OULOOK 2007, is there a separate download for
Clip Art in Outlook 2007? I also updated my Publisher from 2003 to 2007 and
the Clip Art option works there. Please advise, thank you.

When you click the Options tab in Outlook, are you selecting HTML? The clipart
should become active after you do the HTML selection.

I looked at my options tab and html is already selected, this is the options
tab within a NEW email message, not the Tools>Options from the top menu bar
when just in the main outlook interface. Is there a setting within that
options that should be adjusted, i looked through it but didn't see anything.
Thanks for your help,
Kate

Click the Office button, on the bottom right click Editor Options, Advanced...
Go through this and see if you have "Show drawings and text boxes on screen"
checked. Uncheck Show picture placeholders.

The only other suggestion I have; be certain your blinking cursor is in the
message body. If you have your cursor in the To or Subject the clipart won't be
active.
