I just bought works 9. I only want to make beer labels and I bought this
program in order to access microsoft clip art. I keep getting the message:
The .CIL file format is not registered correctly. It asks to reinstall. Did
that, no help. I need help. Works is supposed to support this activity.

Might ask this in a Works newsgroup.
The .cil format is akin to .zip. Have you double-clicked the .cil file?

I understand the "kin" business, being a southerner and all, but I have no
idea about the double click on the .cil file. I never see a .cll file just
the error notice. When clicking on the "ok" in the error box everything just
goes away and I an redirected to a "how to buy the opener or .cll files MS
site". Apparently MS want me to buy the office softwear package. They are
rather persistant at that. So I know not what you speak of this elusive .cll
file double click thing. Please enlighten.

I simply don't know anything about Works. Do you have the Organizer that usually
comes with Word? If you do then the .cil format wouldn't be the format you need.
The Organizer uses the .mpf format. Can you download .mpf images? It works the
same way as .cil, double-click the file and the images should automatically go
into the Organizer.

I have this same problem but with Works 8.0. I cannot download .mpf or.cil. I
love my 8.0 & don't wish to upgrade, but I need more clipart. I also love the
selection on the website. Please help I am lost.
