Discussion:
Can I use a photo in a booklet I intend to sell?

I am wondering about the use of individual photos from online clip art. I
want to use some of them for illustrations for a self help booklet.

If you have a valid license to Office, you can use the clips:

Personal items
Business items, under the following restrictions:

1. The clip should not be used as a part of your logo.
2. If you are selling an item which depicts the clip, the clip cannot be
the primary value of the item ( you cannot sell a clipart collection or sell
a book of just clipart, etc)

Thankyou so much, I was looking at redoing some 800 books I have alread
printed!! I have just used the clipart images as incidental illustrations to
text in a grief workbook to lighten it up a bit. They have been great, and I
have learned a huge lesson about checking this out BEFORE I spend thousands
on printing!!! So thanks again for taking a huge load off my mind!

What about a self-published book?

What is your answer to the Terri Meyers post in this thread?

Hello-
I am also self-publishing self-help material and wanted to use clip art to
lighten up the tone. What did you have to present to the publishing company
to convince them that you had the right to use MS clipart. I presented them
with the MS End User License Agreement but that didn't suffice.
