clipart doesn't re-size

I've been try to re-size some Thanksgiving clip art with poor results. I am
using the same technique that I have always used, namely, pulling on the
lower right corner to enlarge the box. This has always worked fine for me in
the past. The clips say they are "resizable" in the properties list. I'm
not trying to make them super large...just large enough to use in the corner
of a business card sized place holder. However, just stretching them a
little bit produces an overly grainy clip. I'm using Word on a Mac.

You'd probably get better help asking on a Mac forum. Are you downloading the
images or copying?
