I have Publisher 2007 on my laptop that I use frequently. All of a sudden a
couple of days ago, when I tried to download clip art from online I
experienced problems. I was able to download, but when the window opened
that ususally says "add clips to organizer automatically" it was blank & the
clips wouldn't download. The box could be moved around, but clicking on the
cancel button or the x to close the page resulted in nothing. Had to
ctl-alt-del to get out. Also, sometimes will only partially open clip art
box when inserting, but always ends in freeze up. My temp internet cache is
empty. Any suggestions? I'm late with getting out a newsletter.
Thanks!

You might want to check your video/graphics driver. Do you have problems with
other images? Can you copy/paste?

I'm not sure how to check the video/graphics driver. Haven't seemed to have
any other problems. I even uninstalled & reinstalled Publisher this morning
& reinstalled all updates but still the same problem. I was reading
something about compressing the clips in the organizer. I can't seem to find
the button to do that - I have noticed that when I download only 1 or 2 clips
it was taking a long time to add to the organizer - like if I had downloaded
20 or 30.

Yes I can copy & paste with no problem. I have been using my other computer
here at work to get my clips from office online & then email to my laptop so
the issue seems to be with the laptop.

I think you need to compact the Organizer. Tools, compact. If that doesn't
help-- do the Mstore10.mgc name change.

Yay! That was the problem. It took some time to find the file, but we
renamed it & everything works great. Thanks so much!
