how can I lookup a match when there is more than one value

Hi,

I have an range of values that I am trying to perform a vlookup for. The
issue is that there are more than one value for certain lookup values. Is
there a way I can add those two(or three) values together to get a total
value.

For example my lookup value is AA. In my table array I have a value of 1 in
the first instance of AA and a value of 2 in the second instance of AA. I
want to be able to perform a lookup and arrive at the total of 3 for lookup
AA.

Can this be done??

DSUM might be a better choice than VLOOKUP for this purpose.
