Hope someone can help.
I have Vista and Microsoft Clip Organizer (12.0.4518.104) SP1 MSO
(12.0.6320.5000) WHEW!
When I find a clip I want and I right click, I should be presented with a
menu that includes "open in" which would open the appropriate program for
editing. This does not happen. My only options are "copy" (which copies with
a usless name the must be renamed) , "make available offline", "edit
keywords" or "preview/properties". Previewing the clip tells me the name of
the editing program but there is no vehicle to access it.
I have an older computer using XP and Organizer 2002 (10.2625.2625) and the
right click includes the "open in" option for all file types and I am used to
opening clips in my editing software (I have several), maybe altering color
or shape, and "saving as" a useful name instead of the useless name I get in
Vista with a simple copy.
The Vista/Clip helps say that I should get and opportunity to open at least
.wmf by right-click but I get no such option regardless of the type of file.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks

The online clipart has icons that you need to left click to copy or to preview
or to download. There is no right-click option. The three (sometimes four) icons
covers it all.

All of the Office clipart is downloaded without a name. It is catalogued in your
Organizer. If you want your clipart to be catalogued then download it rather
than copy. If you want the clip to go into your editing application, then paste
it there, edit it and rename it.

Thank you Mary.
I see that things just operate differently and I prefer the old ways...call
me old-fashioned! Did I mention I was using Clip Organizer in a stand-alone
mode?
I apprecite your response. I did find out that the quickest way was to have
my editing programs open and ready for a click-n-drag operation which works
quite well (clipboard clips are sometimes not recognized).
Again, than you.
