Hello,
I need a DVD software in order to be able to watch DVD's. I do have a DVD
drive but since I don't have the software it won't play. My question is,
which would be a proper application. I am running Windows XP Professional
Version 2002 SP 3.
Thank you,
Sol

You could purchase a DVD Decoder...
see the following link:

(FWIW...it's always best if you create a
System Restore point before installing
any software or updates.)

Info on DVD Decoders:
Plug-ins for Windows Media Player
http://tinyurl.com/j9e29
or...
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx

Or you could try one of the following
free media players that will play DVDs.

VLC Media Player
http://www.videolan.org/

Media Player Classic
http://tinyurl.com/yn7osl
or.....
http://www.filehippo.com/download_media_player_classic/
(just unzip it and run it...no installation required)

Or...you could try installing one of the
following codec packs:

*Proceed At Your Own Risk*

1) Info about CCCP (Combined Community Codec Pack)
http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

2) K-Lite Codec Pack (Full)
http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/

Good luck...
