Help! When I attempt to insert clip art I receive a dialog box, "Media
Catalog Object has stopped working. A problem cause the program to stop
working correctly." A 2nd dialog box appears, "Clip Organizer cannot complete
the operation. The remote procedure failed. Error code: 0x800706BE."

I downloaded Office 2007 on my home computer 16 months ago and this is the
first problem I have encountered with the program.

It is imperative that I be able to use for my WORD 2007 online class.

Your error is an OS (Windows) error, not an Office error.
Look at Administrative Tools in the Control Panel. Click Services, be certain
Remote Procedure Call is started.

Also be sure your virus software is up to date..

Thank you for your suggestion, but it didn't work. I updated my antivirus
software on 3/31/09; I downloaded Trend Micro Internet Security. I didn't
start having problems with WORD clip art until two weeks ago.

What version Windows are you using? Have you installed the XP service pack? When
did you install it? Was it before you started having problems with the
Organizer?
The Organizer has its own help files with a detect and repair. You could also
compact the Organizer in the Tools menu.

Steps to take before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3
