After my kids installed Zune software we lost photos. While transferring
photos to device, lost ALL pictures in "my pictures" files. All subfolders
still show in the "my pictures" file and icon pictures are still on the face
of the folders. Upon opening the sub files none of the photos are there.
Can't access them from other programs either. All pictures in files other
than "my pictures" are fine. I don't see how it could delete the photos from
each of the subfolders. We've tried restoring system back to an earlier date
(pre-Zune) and nothing is coming up. Ran undelete programs all to no avail.
Any other ideas would be MORE than appreciated. Four years worth of photos
are gone! Some are backed up on a thumb, most recent (year) aren't.

Win XP or Vista?

If you check the properties of the *empty* folders
do they indicate large file sizes?

Have you tried resetting your file associations as
