Why ds 04 BckYard Football stop install'n on Win XP? Soccer works

My grandchildren love the Atari BackYard 2004 sports series PC games, so I'm
transferring them to their Win XP-based PC. Since I have the original
programs (purchased) on CD, installation worked fine for BackYard Soccer and
Backyard Basketball. I also have the purchased CD for BackYard football, but
it stops near the end of the installation process and the only comment is to
check with my software provider.

Maybe the CD is dirty or damaged. Might be
worth a try to clean the CD with warm water
and mild soap...then rinse thouroughly and dry
with a soft cloth...wiping from center to edge...
not in circles.

Also may be worth a try to copy the CD and
install from the copy.
