Clipart no longer wmf/scale-able

Suddenly, when I click and drag a piece of clipart from the MS site to my
desktop to edit in Illustrator, it is no longer coming across as a .wmf file.
Instead it's a .gif and thus unscale-able.

Any idea what happened or what I'm suddenly doing wrong? For years I've
clicked and dragged with no problem. I'm using Windows 2000. Thanks.

Do a copy from the third icon under the image. I cannot drag and drop with
Windows Vista either. Or download the image to your Organizer; drag and drop
from the Organizer.

Mary, thanks for your responses.

I am using a PC.

I tried dragging from the third icon, but it's still a .gif file.

I cannot download into the Organizer because I do not have version 2002 or
newer. So my only option is to download to the Clip Gallery, where the image
appears as a jpeg. Still no .wmf or vector file.

Any other thoughts? Thanks again for your time!

There is a copy icon below each image, click it and the image goes to the
clipboard. I can paste images to Corel, I don't see why you can't paste to
Illustrator.

You should be able to download to your Organizer. Have you compacted it? Tools
menu. Or emptied your temporary cache, in Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet
Options, Delete, Delete files.

The Organizer can become corrupt. Change the Mstore10.mgc to Mstore10.old. You
will lose all your custom keywords.
The file is in a folder similar to this: (hidden)
C:\Users\<<user>>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Clip Organizer (Vista)
C\:Documents and Settings\<<user>>\Application Data\Microsoft\Clip Organizer
(XP)

Interesting. What I see below each image is: a check box for adding it to the
basket; a "click to view more info" icon; and a "for more variety and higher
res visit NVTOfficeClips" icon.

When I click on the image itself, the only thing beneath it is the check
box. I must be looking at something different than you...

When I go to download, option 1 is "Import into Clip Organizer version 2002
or newer - Media files will be stored in your My Pictures\Microsoft Clip
Organizer folder." However, when I try to do this, my computer tells me it's
an .mpf file and doesn't know how to open it. There is no default app for it.

Thanks again for your time!

Double-click the .mpf file. It is like a zip.

What browser are you using? Have you look at the add-ons to see if the Media
Control is enabled? In Internet Explorer, Tools, Manage Add ons.
