After I created the sample photo story project, I tried to view the story. I
got the following error message: "device attached to the system is not
functioning". What's that about? What do I do to remedy this? Also, it is
possible to copy these stories onto a CD isn't it?

Thanx

What is the format (extension) of your story .wmv or .wp3?

Yes you can archive Photo Storys on a Data CD or you
can burn a Video CD (VCD) if you have the proper software.

I think the following plug-in is still available:

Sonic DVD plug-in for Photo Story
http://www.estore.sonic.com/enu/photostory/default.asp

Here's some info on burning a DVD:

Burn Your Photo Stories to DVD for Free
using Microsoft Photo Story 3 for Windows

Don't have a clue what the extension is. I'm just saving it to the hard
drive to be copied to a CD.

=============================
The reason I asked about the extension
is if it's a .wp3 file it's only a project file
that has no use other than for re-editing
in PhotoStory.

If it's a .wmv file it's actually a movie file
that can be played in Windows Media Player.

Good luck with your projects...
