We struck out again, Mary. I tried renaming the file mstore10.mgc and it
showed up as mstore10.old.mgc no matter what I did. I don't understand what
to do with the compatibility check so gave up.
I appreciate all your patience, and hope you're not running out ideas.
Should i remove my old version of Publisher that doesn't work either?

Maybe you have mismatched components
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=8f0a8df6-4a21-4b43-bf53-14332ef092c9
You can rename the Mstore10.mgc file to Mstore10.old. A new catalog will be
created.
This article addresses 2002, but the Organizer has not changed. It has some
solutions
Clip2002: Errors That Indicate the Mstore10.mgc File May Be Corrupted

Post by DreamcatcherSandyThanks, Mary. The solution given did not help, I downloaded Microsoft Data
Access Components (MDAC) 2.7, tried opening the clipart gallery and got the
same message.
