Can clip art be used in advertisements?

I have read the different questions and answers about how clip art cannot be
used for business purposes if it's for sale, but I want to know more
specifically if I can use clip art in an advertisement for my business? What
are the restrictions on that? I've read through the agreements and such, but
they just confuse me more. Thanks!

The Microsoft Publisher EULA is probably the easiest to understand. Read section
1.5 closely.
