Windows explorer hangs when trying to save- or upload a pic

I have downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 8 recently. Ever since
then, I can not save or upload a JPEG! I uninstalled Internet Explorer 8,
reverting back to Internet Explorer 7, but the problem still prevails. If I
right click on a JPEG, select Save as, Select Folder and select Save, the
Save As window remains and I'm then forced to close Internet Explorer. I have
downloaded all applicable updates, yet the problem still exists.
How can I fix this?

Empty your temporary cache, it might help.
In Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options, Delete, delete files.
