Discussion:
Use of clip art image in commercial application
(too old to reply)

I have written an application in Visual Basic 2008 that I intend to offer for
sale. The application uses a clip art image - purely illustrative, to make
the opening screen look more appealing. Is this ok from a legal/licence
standpoint? (The image is one of the Style 1540 images.)

If not, can I purchase rights to use the image? How do I go about this?

Many thanks

Many thanks for the reply. Though I was hoping to avoid the legalese!! I
followed the link and I think this is telling me that I cannot use the
style1540 image in a (commercial) VB application. I will have to look
elsewhere for an image.

Thanks again
