Legal Issues with use of cliparts for Client WebSites or Newslette

I am still confused about the legal facts of using the Clip Arts. There have
never been a straight forward answer to this question.

I am a web designer and I would like to use some of this cliparts for my
clients web site or even his newsletter. I am not sure if it effects me since
it is a part of my work and my work is not completely dependent on it.

BTW, since those cliparts come as part of the software that I have purchased
for my work does it not make it legal for me to use it for my work ?

Why is it that such a big company has no straight answer to this question?

And what is the use of the clipart sitting on my machine if I cant use them ?

I look forward to a positive and a straight reply - I am not very interested
in getting a lawyer to figure out if I can use a clipart - I will have to
make thousands of phone calls and will probably have to hire one to be able
to use your clipart.

Hopefully, now you understand the question, please provide a favorable reply
!!

I cannot give you any other advice than for you to read the EULA, pay close attention
to section 1.2

Hello Mary,

I understand about re-distribution, that the customers of my product or
service do not receive any rights to license or distribute the Media
Elements.

Does the statement below permit me to include this as part of the web sites
or newsletters that I create for my customers:

You may copy and modify the Media Elements, and license, display and
distribute them, along with your modifications as part of your software
products and services, including your web sites

It will be part of my end product, but the pictures or cliparts are not
driving my product. I could use any clipart or picture.

I assume it is okay to use the images as part of a web site as long as it is not
included in your logos and you are not selling the clipart.

Hi There,

Can I please confirm the below post. So, I can use images from
office.microsoft.com/clipart on a website I am designing as long as I am not
on selling the images separately?

e.g. I can add a image to the top banner of the page?

I have tried to read the EULA however it is not clear to me if i am able to
use the images or not. I suppose they are supposed to be vague?

The volunteers who frequent this newsgroup
cannot grant you permission to use the clip
art in any way. All we can do is point you to
Microsoft published articles and you will have
to interpret them as best you can.

Look at the section on Clip Art:
Use of Microsoft Copyrighted Content

Read the "How you can use it" section of the
