Clip Art in Illustrator?

I have always been able to insert clip art to a page in Microsoft Word, then
copy and paste it into Adobe Illustrator, and have it come in properly as a
vector graphic. Now when I do this, the artwork comes into Illustrator as a
bitmap with terrible resolution, and not as vector art.

I am using Microsoft Office for Mac 2008, and Adobe Illustrator CS2. Any
idea what's happening, and how to get it to come in correctly in Illustrator?

Alright, I just saved my Word document in Word 95-2004 compatibility mode.
In that mode, I can copy and paste into Illustrator and maintain the vector
quality. Why is it that it'll work in an old version, but not in the new
one? Where should I report this to have it fixed?

And I believe there is a 'send feedback' button you can use in Word to let
MS know what you think....
