I have found it easier than drawing an arrow in Paint (usually) to
* paste or insert the picture in a blank slide in MS PowerPoint,
* use autoshapes to add an arrow of any style, size, color, fill, etc.,
*select both the arrow and the photo and 'group' them -important-,
* then save the picture (usually as a jpeg) anywhere you want.
Quick and painless as long as you remember to group all the components of
the final photo.
