How to access old clip art via Organizer
(too old to reply)

I'm trying to help our church access their legacy clip art. They've recently
upgraded from Office 2000 (I think) to MSO 2007. Before the upgrade they'd
happily been using the Clip Gallery for their myriad projects. Now they've
found that the new Organizer doesn't find their older clip art.

So far we've managed to make desktop shortcuts to the old Clip Gallery
program that allows them to find their familiar graphics. Is there a way to
import the old art into Organizer -with the keywords-? We've managed to find
and import clips into Organizer but the keywords are lost making the art
virtually useless. Please tell me there's a way to migrate the old .mmc data
into Organizer. The current workaround is cludgy and I'm not expecting it to
work if they should get some Vista machines.

-Thanks

The Organizer and the Gallery are not compatible. If you want all the legacy
clipart in the Organizer you will have to type keywords manually.
You also can use the Gallery in your programs this way: Insert, Object, scroll
down to Microsoft Clip Gallery.
You are lucky the Gallery works for you. Office 2007 broke my Gallery.
