paste a picture to an e-mail

I prepared a letter with a small picture near the signature line on a MS
Works document. I then went to my mailbox & opened a "write message" page.
I copied & pasted the text of my MS works document onto the e-mail page with
no problem. I then highlighted the picture on my MS Works document, clicked
"copy", returned to the e-mail I was preparing & clicked on "paste". I got a
blank square box (like a "textbox") - no picture inside it. I understand how
to use the "share photos" feature but this doesn't fit those parameters. Any
help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

Are you using Outlook Express? Do you have HTML email enabled?

You might do better asking in an appropriate newsgroup.

I don't know what "Outlook Express" is - I don't think I'm using it. And
yes, I think I do have HTML enabled. What would be the appropriate
newsgroup I should re-post this question to? (Sorry, I'm new to the
discussion group!) Thanks for your help.

Whatever email program you are using will have a newsgroup if it is a Microsoft
product. Other email programs will have support on their web pages.
