I work for state government. Can I use a clip photo in a brochure? Are all
photos model-released? Thanks.

John,

Thanks, I suspected volunteers were answering the questions. It's quite
confusing, because, for example, the first page gives an example of using the
clip art for a business card, while the other page says that you cannot use
it to advertise your business (although that is not my question). I wanted to
know if I could use a clip photo in a government brochure and if the photos
model-released. I realize now that you cannot answer. It seems like I can
just not use the photo or take a chance and use it.

I gather that there is no way to get an answer from Microsoft. Is that
correct?

Sorry, but I have no idea how to contact
Microsoft on this issue.

Most anything we could say in this case
would be as if we were giving or denying
permission and we just cannot do that.
