Hi,
I am trying to download clipart from office online. I've made my
selections, then gone through the selection process, gone to "review basket"
and then clicked on the link to "Download 30 items". That shows me a page
with a button labelled "Download Now", which launches a download dialog.

The file that is downloaded has no file extension, so I can do nothing with
it.

Should I be renaming the file so it can be read by Microsoft Clip Organiser?

Please help, I am tearing my hair out here with frustration!

The images go straight into your Organizer. Do you have the option to open the
download? If the downloaded file has not gone into your Organizer, the
extension would be .mpf. You may not have extensions visible. Double-click the
file, it is a file similar to zip.

You can have extensions visible by going to Folder Options in the Control Panel.
In Folder Options, View Tab, un-check Hide extensions for known file types.

Hi Mary,

I never realised it was a file that could _only_ be used if run from the
download or the downloaded file. I've been trying to import it using the
"Add Clips to Organizer" menu option. I have DAP which manages the
downloads, somehow rendering the file with no extension (Microsoft is the
only site in the three years I've been using the application that this has
happened to). I tried adding the mpf extension to the files that had already
been downloaded but that didn't make any difference as far as the import
goes, but it does work if the file is double-clicked.

Thanks for the tip!
