Discussion:
Clip Organizer crasher when selecting a collection folder
(too old to reply)

First I tried to insert a clipart in a Powerpoint presentation, but when I
search, in any collection, I can't get any results.

I can't use pictures as bullets either. When I import one, it does't show
me the bullets collection.

When I run de clip organizer, it crashes when I select any collectionfolder.

I deleted windows temporary files, I used de repair tool from office
installer, and I renamed mstore10.mgc and Offic10.MGC. None of this actions
seemed to work.

The only improvement was when I uninstalled de Clip Organizer with windows
uninstaller. Then I could use pictures as bullets but, of course, I lost all
clipart features and collections.

I have Windos XP Professional, an Office 2007.

Please... HELP ME!

Thnx a lot. Sebastian.

I don't recommend renaming the Office10.mgc file.

That said, have you tried a detect and repair in the Organizer? It is in the
help menu. Might do a compact as well, in the Organizer, tools, compact.

When you rename the Mstore10.mgc, the Organizer will create a new catalog file
and the keywords will be intact. Only your custom images and custom keywords
will be lost. This is the reason re-naming is better than deleting, you can
always return to the old catalog file.

Are you getting an error message?

I tried compacting, deteting and reparing, but it didn't work. The only error
message that I receive is the one from Win XP that says that an error has
ocurred and that I can send a report to MSFT.

When you get the error, there is a details link, when you click the link what is
the error?

Some articles here, it says 2002 but the Organizer hasn't changed.

Thanks, but none of those errors match the one that i'm getting. The one that
I get is the typical XP error that says: "Microsoft Clip Organizar has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Whe i read the error report, this is the info that i get:

Move your temporary folder... In Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options,
Settings button, move folder. It doesn't matter where, the Explorer will create
a new folder automatically.

Have you tried asking this in the PowerPoint forum?

Clip Organizer crasher when selecting a collection folder

First I tried to insert a clipart in a Powerpoint presentation, but when I
