I found a wonderful picture in the Free Clip Art, and want to use it for a
magazine cover (we are non-profit, local govt, membership org and out
magazineis given free to our members but we sell a few to past members). I
have tried tracking down the image but am not having any luck. I tried all
the provider websites listed on the left column. When I scroll over the
image, there is no trademark or any identifying information. The image is
j0401978.jpg. Maybe I am going overboard (as it is a free clip art)? If
someone has an idea how to track down the "owner" and ask permission to use
this phtot, I would be extremely grateful.

Mary, Thank you so much! This has really been vexing me. It took a few
minutes, but I did locate it. We actually have money in our budget for
photos. It looks striking on the cover, too (in the mock-up).

I'm glad I could help. The secret was my downloading the image, right-clicking,
properties and there is was, Corbis.
Thanks for posting back, it is appreciated.

ugh--when I did that (right clicked and went to properties, I still didn't
see anything identifying the photo as Corbis.) Thanks again.
