Hey I'm writing a children’s book everything is of my creation. I wrote the
book and illustrated every page. Except I used a border to go around all the
pictures and the words and used one clip art of an old scroll paper that I
used to put a letter in but other than the border and the one clip art
everything was made by me and my sister. Is this ok or should we make our
own border and draw our own scroll paper?

After all the work you have done...seems to me you
would want every element to be your own creation.

Anyway...maybe the following articles will help you:

Yeah I decided to take the clip art out but I really like to keep the boder.
I would change the boder if I could but I really don't know how to. I have
yellow stars as a boder is that going to be any conflict?

Sorry...but as a volunteer...I cannot give advice...
the best I can do is offer the links and you have to
make the decision.
