How do I remove a date stamp from a digital photo without cropping or cloning
the area? I notice that in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and in Windows
Explorer, in the thumbnail versions of the pictures, the date stamp does not
show. So it is possible, electronically, to do it. How is it done?

Cropping. Cloning, or some form of advanced touchup
is it. You cannot simply click a remove button and even
if you could...there would be nothing behind the date
but a blank space. Somehow...the graphic content in
the area where the date is removed has to be replaced.
