images not displaying for users

For some odd reason users can't see an image in a powerpoint presentation
that is often accessed; the images are displayed as a red "X". When I log in
with my admin account I can see all images just fine. I looked at the
permissions to the folder where this file resides in and users have full
control, as well as control over the entire C: directory.

The fact that I can see these images as an admin screams permission issue to
me and I think the issue lies with the original folder these images were
imported from, thing is nobody knows where that is...

So my question is this:

Could there be another problem besides a permission issue?

How can I find where these image files reside so that I can view the
permissions of that folder?

I should probably mention that for security reasons I have the windows
directory locked down so that users can only read, execute, and list. I have
also tried relaxing the security settings on the windows temp directory but
no avail.

Help me forumgoers; your my only hope!

If I took away permissions in the sys32 directory, would that affect users
seeing images?
