Discussion:
Shared Catalogs - Relative File Paths...

Hi,
I am looking at using the Shared Catalogs in the Clip Art Organizer as a
means to distribute content. The problem that I've run into is when you
create a shared catalog as described in the link:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300859, the shared catalog file has absolute
paths to the clip art, instead of relative paths.

Is there any way to use Shared Catalogs and specify that the paths to the
clip art should be relative paths instead of absolute paths?
Thanks,
Mike

Mary,
I probably should have said that I'm using Office 2007, not 2003. I'm not
sure that the link you mentioned will help.
Thanks,
Mike

Mary,
Let me pose the question another way... Is there a way to programmatically
(through an API , registry settings, etc.) to create a new collection in the
Clip Art Organizer and have it point to a local folder and the content within
that folder (without using the Shared Catalog file)?
Thanks,
Mike

Mary,
Thanks! I thought I'd try here first since this forum is dedicated to Clip
Art and Media. I'll give TechNet a shot, do you know of any other forums that
are related to the Clip Art Organizer?

I appreciate your help!
