I had to reinstall windows xp recently, and now when I go to clipart, it only
says Bigger/Smaller preview. I looked at the post from 2/24/2006 and
followed those instructions - cleared the cookies and the copy button
reappers, but when I click it, I am directed to the Office User agreement, I
click I agree, it pops me over to the Active X, tells me it is installed and
I am good to go, but then the copy button disappears and I am left with only
bigger/smaller preview. I was able to do this before I reinstalled. Any
help would be greatly appreciated!

It isn't the cookies you clear, it is the temporary files. When you cleared the
cookies you have to re-install the ActiveX control.
In the Internet Explorer, tools, Manage Add-ons, is the Microsoft Office
Template and Media control enabled?

I have cleared all temp files and cookies. When I go back into clipart, they
copy button appears. When I click on copy, it pops me over to the Microsoft
agreement form, I click "I Agree", it then pops me over to a different page
that says the ActiveX control is installed. When I go into manage add ons,
Microsoft Office & Template is there and enabled under things ARE being used,
and the COPY button disappears, I can only click Bigger/Smaller preview. If
I go back and clear the temp files again, and look at manage add ons, MO&T is
under ones that HAVE been used. Both are enabled. COPY is there only if
I've cleared the temp files, but disappears as soon as I accept the agreement
and the ActiveX control is installed. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Look at your security settings. Internet Explorer, tools, Internet Options,
Security tab. What do you have the security set for. It should be Medium High
(default).
Don't delete the Office cookie, this is the reason you are losing the ActiveX
control.

Security was set to Medium, I changed it to Med High. I deleted the temp
int. files again, closed out of and got back into the Microsoft Clipart page,
and I only get Bigger/Smaller preview, no copy button.

Are you clicking the third icon under the images? That is the copy button. There
is no right-click, copy.

Mary,

When I clear cookies/temp files, then there is a copy button. When I click
on the image to enlarge it in the preview box, there is a copy button. When
I click the copy button, it pops me over to the Microsoft agreement, I click
agree, it then goes to the install ActiveX control, I click OK (or whatever
the default button is), is says it is successfully installed, and then the
copy button on the preview page as well as the icon underneath disappear. I
saw that someone else on 4/17 said they were having the same problem, I
followed your instructions there to no avail. I saw they had recently
reinstalled windows - could that have something to do with it? I am able to
copy and paste from other programs no problem. Thank you so much for your
help!

There are more things you can try. Move your Internet Temporary Folder. You can
move it anywhere, the Explorer will create a new folder the next time you open
the browser.

Check your firewall to be sure you are allowed to copy from the Internet.

The Organizer has its own detect and repair. I know you are not going through
the Organizer to collect your clipart, but it is worth a try.
