Discussion:
How do I use clipart as icons?

I'll do a search on a M site for icons, get some good images, download them
into clip organizer but then when I try to use the icon it is not recognised
by any microsoft program. I especially like to customize my folders but need
more choices than the shell32.dll file.

Do the images have an .ico extension? You may have to convert the images.
www.irfanview.com is free and can change the extension to .ico. Get the
Irfanview plug-ins too.

It works great! A bit technical for a complete novice but a little effort
makes for magic! Thanx again
