I know you keep saying that there is a feature in Windows Movie maker that
allows you to rotate a video 90 degrees. Maybe I am a rock or something but
I just can not find it.

I open the video on the screen, go to tools, go to effects, click on rotate
90 degrees and instantly the video disappears and some stupid red flower
picture pops up and you can rotate that around as much as you want but your
video is gone.

Can someone walk me through this as it is certainly not obvious as is
everything else with vista.

Ahhh well struggle continues! Found on another site how to do it, you have
to drag it into the time bar. Would be nice to let the world know you have
to do that as opposed to just letting people fuss with it for hours. (Sorry
if I sound bitter)

Now the only snag is that once you flip it and save it, now you can not open
it in windows media player as it is some kind of WMMP file that it says
windows media player can not open.

Any idea how to change this file now into a normal file that the world can
see?

The .mswmm file is a project file that is only
useful if you wish to re-open the file for re-editing.

Here are the steps for saving in a movie format:

To save as an .avi movie file...
(and several other options)
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Show More Choices /
Other Settings /
Open the drop window and choose...DV-AVI /
Next /
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...

To save as a .wmv movie file...
Type...Ctrl+P to open the Save Movie Wizard /
Choose...My Computer /
Next /
Enter a Name and a Save Location /
Next /
Tick...'Best Quality For My Computer'
Next/
Wait while the movie is saved /
Finish...
