Post by SteveI have a picture that I want at 640x480, but I want to compress the
file size. Microsoft Office Picture Mananger will give me a 640x480
uncompressed OR a compressed picture at 448x336. That's not what I
want.
====================================
A few more details on exactly what you are trying
to accomplish might be useful. Do you simply
need to decrease file size? From what to what?
Saving the file in the .jpg format will compress it.
The following excerpt is copied from the Picture
Manager Help file.

The compression options in Microsoft Office Picture
Manager reduce both file size and picture dimensions
based on how you intend to use the picture, such as
in Web pages or e-mail messages.
