How do make media work?

I can put media (music, video) in an Office application but how do you get
the sound or video to play? I'd like to see the media work as soon as I have
the document on the screen.

Don't know much about what you are doing, but I would think if you convert
the document (Word, Publisher...etc) to a web page from the file menu your
media inserts would work.
