Hi Everyone!

I have scanned documents and they are in my Picture Manager. I can save
them into a file, but I cannot edit the writing and it won't save into
another format. How can I save it into Word or someplace so that I can edit
the document? I appreciate the help!

What version Word do you have?

Did some sort of OCR software come with your scanner? Do you have the Document
Imaging program installed? It is part of Office 2003 and 2007. It is not
installed by default. Go to the Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, scroll
down to your Office application, click change, install the Document Imaging
program. It has a OCR feature, but it can only read .tif or .mdi files. The
program will scan, do the OCR and send the results to Word.
